Daryl grew up in New York and Connecticut and graduated from Columbia University. One thing is for sure, home is where the heart is and she puts her heart into everything she does. She is passionate about combining great texture, color and materials. Working with you, presenting ideas and great pieces, she helps create the vibe and style you will love to call your own. Daryl contacted me to assist in an enormous project she had undertaken. She was updating the interior of Shell Island Resort on Wrightsville Beach. With a tight budget, an insane time line due to the rental market and a million moving pieces, she had developed a plan that gave the individual owners of 80 plus units an opportunity to select furnishings and finishes for a beautiful update, yet unique to each unit. Flooring, paint, window treatments, furnishings, linens, lighting, art and accessories, for each unit were carefully selected, purchased, tracked and installed while working with all the individual suppliers, installers, owners, the HOA board and managing staff. Not only did Daryl do an amazing job with all these moving pieces, she did it with grace, style and an infectious joyful spirit. No doubt the owner’s received more than their money’s worth. Each unit is stunning. Not every designer could manage a project like this. Daryl has what it takes.

Shell Island resort in Wrightsville Beach, NC hired Design Results to undertake a massive 80+ condo unit renovation. We are one of the unit owners of that resort. Daryl, the owner of Design Results, has a vision for our home we could not have imagined. All of her design suggestions have been great; from selecting flooring, cabinets, fixtures and exterior colors to exceptional furnishings. Rich colors run throughout our main floor, in particular her work has made our dining room spectacular. The room has a finished, sophisticated look. She had our chairs revitalized completely with exquisite upholstery. She has been able to integrate some fine pieces we had previously throughout our new home. Her assistance in finding unique, quality pieces especially for our foyer, living room and eat-in kitchen has been invaluable. Her space planning helped us envision the flow of the house. The bedding she chose for our master bedroom is perfect. It’s even reversible so the look in the room can be “refreshed” from time to time. Indeed she has made every effort to find us great quality pieces within our budget. We’ve been delighted with her work, called her back, and recommend Design Results highly.

Daryl worked with my wife to get the house looking its best prior to putting it on the market. I don’t do much decorating, but it looked cleaner and sleeker when they were through. It seemed twice as big! Anyway, it worked, as we had a contract on the house in less than 10 days! Seemed like magic to me!
MV Leary
Daryl helped me re-design a property with good bones but a poor layout and bad furniture. She created a special feeling that runs throughout the property with very few pieces to work with. She made the most of the floor plan, and opened up the main floor, emphasizing a great room by removing most of the furniture. She created a foyer where there was none which was made the property special. Showings have picked up dramatically. Feedback now reads ‘excellent’ as opposed to ‘poor’. The property had some opportunity for photography and she took good photos. I am now excited to show this property and recommend Design Results to all my co-workers. The work really made a difference. I will definitely use Design Results again.

Design Results did an amazing job in the turn- furnishing of Coquina, a 6 bedroom beach house. The property was rented out almost immediately for six months and now, in February it is already rented out 7 weeks this summer and for Memorial Day weekend – which is very unusual this early in the year. We were able to raise the rent based on demand. The house is a gorgeous addition to our inventory. The furnishings, bedding and tables in particular have held up really well over the past year. I recommend Daryl and her company Design Results highly for improving rentals and for furnishing investment property as well.

Daryl’s design suggestions far exceeded our expectations. Her design suggestions were visually stimulating and she did a wonderful job of drawing together all of the rooms of the house. During our initial meeting I told Daryl of our hopes for our new home. I mentioned that at some point I would love to have a grandfather clock in our home. Through her sourcing, Daryl was able to find us a grandfather clock, which was beyond our expectations and under out budget! I have always been fond of the color blue. When Daryl suggested reupholstering the dining room chairs in a red fabric, I was reluctant, but I trusted Daryl’s talent and ability to see things that were beyond my ability. When the chairs were finished I was thrilled with the outcome. The chairs were beautiful. Daryl’s vision of our needs was carried over into every room of the house. Every item that she suggested has been so impressive. Our home is truly beautiful, and we are so thrilled with the vision that Daryl created for us. Besides creating a beautiful home for us, Daryl always stayed within the budget that we gave her, which we truly appreciated There is no question that we will continue to use Daryl and her talents for our future plans. I would highly recommend her to any potential client.
